Scott Morrison is a licensed professional engineer with 41 years of engineering experience. Early on, Scott analyzed and designed onshore refinery structures then deep water offshore platforms, risers, bridges, and modules. His last 31 years have focused on forensic engineering—especially hail- and wind-caused damage to both steep- and low-sloped roofing systems. Scott has directed testing and research of roofing in the lab for 25 years—including lab accreditation by the International Accreditation Service.
Beyond field inspections of residential and commercial properties throughout the United States, Scott has testified frequently; authored or co-authored technical papers, roofing field guides, and content for roofing courses; and participated in industry trade associations. Further, he has co-developed several tools commonly used in roofing testing and inspection.
