Steven R. Smith graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. He is licensed as a professional engineer in six states. Mr. Smith has been with Haag Engineering since 1998 and is the Director of Haag Research & Testing Co. Mr. Smith has inspected well over 1,000 roofs for hail- and wind-caused damage and began his career with Haag in the testing laboratory, performing hail impact testing and roofing sample evaluations.  Mr. Smith assisted in the development of the Haag Certified Inspector programs (Residential and Commercial) and has taught these courses for many years.
